I hope you all had a great holiday! I apologize for the late notice, however we were not even planning on running an affiliate tournament for December due to the number of staff (and affiliates) away due to the Christmas break.
A decision was made on the day that I posted my message to go ahead and run the last one for the year.
Yes, this was short notice and for that I am sorry. However, we did not have time to organize a bulk email to all affiliates notifying them of the December tournament and felt that a post on the forums would target any members who were still around and able to play.
These tournaments are just meant for a bit of fun for affiliates to play against their managers and the idea of running one each month is so that if you miss one month, you can always play in the next months event.
These tournaments are not and have never been part of our regular scheduled calendar of events. Since they began, we have run a tournament each month and will attempt to do so for the foreseeable future. Every attempt is made to get them into the client and advertised to our affiliate base as quickly as possible but the decision to run the tournaments is largely based on the current workload of the affiliate managers. It may be the case that at certain times we are simply to busy to dedicate time to create and play in the events.
I will make every attempt to give as much notice as possible for all future affiliate events. If you are in any doubt, simply contact your manager.
