(edit: thanks i have a good idea what I want it to look like now. I'm taking it down till nov 1'st. so i can get more content up.)

My site is http://thepokerbus.net i'll be changing it to .com soon.

I bought the domain and hosting service a week and a half ago. This is my first attempt at making a site. I have been working on learning about site design and building it pretty much 24/7 since i got the service.

Currently there is pretty much no content on my site. I want to get the layout nearly 100% set up first. I was hoping that I can get some reviews on the layout. How's the color, organization, font, ect?

In the poker rooms section i'll be writing a short description for each of my favorite sites and then provide a link for a much more in debth review. I'm still thinking about how to organize the articles when I start writing them. I'll probably use a layout similar to what's provided in this article http://www.partyriches.com/article.p...at=2&id_art=23 . I'm going to put some 120X60 banners going down the sponsors column. And in about a month i'll add a forum.

The goal of my site is to motivate people who don't know about poker or are looking to get into poker to want to download a poker client. I'll do my best to have articles to get these people started off on the right foot with proper bankroll management. I'm going to avoid using those anoying flashy in your face banners.

Maybe i should have invested in a more expensive hosting service

My hosting service is bluehost and it's $7/month I think. Does anybody here have any experiences with them? I'm not able to load my site right now either. It was working fin a few minutes ago. Hopefully it will be a quick fix.

Thanks caz. I called them up and talked to the emergency after hours support. He pretty much said that my site should be working right now and he doesn't know why it isnt. I have to wait for regular support to get there in 2 hours. Every other website this company is hosting is running normal right now.

Now that it's all hyped up, they got the site working again. I forgot what they said the problem was. It was some technical stuff that he probably made up.

Your site is very nice, especially for being your first one. I would have liked a little brighter and more lively colors though.

thanks Emill I agree. I always feel like the site it's too dull looking. I'll be making all of my changes here before deciding to put it on the main one http://thepokerbus.net/wordpress/ Some of the features on this don't work but that's ok.
