I married one of those bible thumpers, oddly he's kinda on my side where gambling, and smoking in bars is concerned. Those may be the two things we agree on :P

Absolutely right. I was really just looking for a put down that fit our idiot President, lol.

My wife has some friends who are SUPER-religious, don't believe in evolution etc. etc.. We all went camping one night, on a particularly clear and starry night. With a zillion stars out, I said "makes you wonder what else it out there doesn't it"? The lady said "nothing, why would God need any more than us"? It's that egotistical, 'God lovers are the ONLY people who matter' attitude that makes them want to tell everyone else what to do. BTW, we were all sitting around the fire drinking beer and cussing like sailers that night. You see, since they love God so much he gives them forgiveness which means they're allowed to do whatever the hell they like, and still dictate how the rest of us should live. It's funny how there seems to be a religion to fit every lifestyle.

My husbands religion doesn't believe women should wear pants. There's no beer drinking. No jewlery. No hair cutting, no television. I actually lived that religion for a year (our 3rd of marriage) after I found out my husband actually belonged to a church..
