Default Havent started digging yet

I am new to this concept but it looks really intresting. I have been looking at some of the content on the Digg.com but i dont really get what its al about. What are the best thing to write about? Is it news? Should you try to be educational? Or even go so far to write an articel about something that pretty much do not have anything to do with your normal content?

Could you get any positive feedbacks by writing in an other language or could you only post in english.

I am thinking of writing and posting some articles but I want to do it the right way and I want to do in with quality.

Thanks in advance.

I'm a newbie Digger as well but here's my input. The article has to be interesting. It shouldnt be common knowledge like "how to play online poker". You have to have a headline that will make people click to read more. For instance, "cop beats a girl" or "the greatest riddle of all time"...you know...something really cool or interesting or shocking. I think it would be hard to do very well on digg with a poker related story but who knows. Maybe...."Phil Ivey & Mike Matusow caught in bed together"...lol j/k. The story has to be TRUE and UNIQUE. Some of these other DiggMasters like Jeremy could shed a little more light on what it takes to do well on digg.

My first article was somewhat of a bore and very badly written. I am working on a master piece that I'm hoping will be alot better.

I agree with NPG. There's two ways you can go about writing for Digg.

One is writing an article, the other is telling a story. You don't want to be lost in the clutter where it's only seasoned professionals that can appreciate your lingo.

You want to tell a story - appeal to anyone who might even remotely have an interest in the game. I love the titles "cop beats a girl" hahaha!! That's something that would surely pull your reader in.

And never lie - you lose your credibility, which is a lot more painful because you'll have to work twice as hard to gain it back

Thanks for the ideas.

You should never Lie in life. Its just hits you back sooner or later.

I have to figure out what to write then and maybe post a digg later on.
