Web Design - Raw HTML versus CMS
Web Design - Raw HTML versus CMS

For many affiliates, it can be a difficult decision when deciding what platform to build their websites on.

The most common platforms in the poker affiliate world are either Frontpage or Content Management Systems.

Web Design - Raw HTML versus CMS

PokerAffiliateWorld.com - F.A.Q.

In this section we will attempt to answer some of the most common questions that come up when individuals join our community.  If you ever have any specific questions our poker webmaster forum is a great resource filled with some of the most intelligent affiliates in the business.  We strongly suggest everyone spend a great deal of time reading through all the posts by fellow affiliates when getting involved in this industry.

1. What is Poker Affiliate World?

PokerAffiliateWorld is the largest community of poker affiliates on the internet.  We are also the largest poker affiliate network on the intenet. Originally we were named PartyRiches but in the fall of 2005 we rebranded the site to be PokerAffiliateWorld.com.  The purpose of Poker Affiliate World is to bring together poker affiliates from all around the world and share best practices.  Together we can all become better at what we do

2. Is Poker Affiliate World just for affiliates of a particular website?

Absolutely not.  Poker Affiliate World is for any poker affiliate regardless of what site or poker sites you promote.  There is no question that you will find several affiliates in the community that promote primarily just a few sites.  However we suggest that people diversify their portfolio of sites they promote as well as industries they promote within.  In our community you will find that several poker sites are being represented and discussed

3. How much do poker affiliates make?

There is no solid answer to this.  We know affiliates that make over $500k  a month, and we also know many that don't make a single dollar.  It all comes down to who works harder and who can think outside the box better than the next affiliate.

4. Can I submit News or articles?

Yes, in fact we encourage you to submit any news or articles that are pertinent to our community of poker affiliates.  Keep in mind though any news or articles that are blatent advertising will not be accepted.

5. Can I advertise on Poker Affiliate World?

We do not accept advertising from poker portals.  We do however provide maximum exposure and hundreds of new players to poker affiliate programs via our Integrated Affiliate Network.  For more information on partnering with Poker Affiliate World, you can email mitchell@pokeraffiliateworld.com

6. How do I become a "Featured Site"

First of all you have to be a member in good standing.  Any site that is submitted to us for consideration of "Featured Site" should be one of the best out there.  The purpose of having featured sites is for fellow affiliates to see good quality affiliate sites. With that said, no banner farms please.

7. I would like to do a link exchange?

Fantastic, we also want to exchange links with other quality websites.  Please PM Mitchell in the forums with your link exchange request.  Don't be offended if we cannot exchange links with you at first, we are only looking for link partners at this time who fit a certain criteria. This criteria includes a quality site with google pagerank.

Affiliate Specific Questions

How much does it cost to become an Affiliate?
Becoming an affiliate is absolutely free to join, although if you want to be a great affiliate it may cost you time.

What payment methods are available?
The PAW system offers a variety of ways to receive your payment; these include Bank Wire Transfer (Preferred), Transfer to PokerStars Account, Neteller Transfer (for non US residents only), Transfer to Full Tilt Account and Transfer to PartyPoker Account

Can I be an affiliate if I don’t have a website?
Yes, you can, however you will need to provide us with a business case outlining how you plan to market yourself and drive traffic to your sites.

How many trackers can I request?
New affiliates can request as many trackers as they like; however you will not be issued with more than two for each poker room/per site on the PAW network.

·         How long do payments take?
Generally the PAW stats will be reconciled by the 20th of each month. Once the stats have been completed, statements will be sent out and upon request for a withdrawal, the payments should arrive  approximately 24 to  48 hours later

·         Why can’t I see my RMP’s in PAW?
The stats on PAW are downloaded directly from the individual poker rooms. The stats are downloaded every 24-48 hours  but if you don’t see any RMP’s it’s probably because they haven’t qualified yet as a real money player.

·       I am having a look at the titan stats; do some affiliates come up with negative amounts because they are on a share deal?
Yes Titan is a share deal because it is also a casino, therefore if a player wins; it gets taken from the tracked affiliate's earnings, the same occurs with Mansion.

·         Why do I need trackers if I'm using banner links?
Banner links consist of graphical artwork or text which is used to promote a specific room, the tracker code is hyperlinked inside the banner which tracks a player to your PAW account when they click the link.

·         What do you mean by offline promotion with bonus codes?
Bonus codes allow a new player to be tracked to you without the need of a website. A website has URL links that are tracked to your account. If you don’t have a website, players get tracked to you by entering the codes which identify them as your player and link to your account on the PAW network.

·
If I don’t have a website how can I promote offline?
A number of affiliates get creative when advertising offline. Some examples are printing business cards, giving out t-shirts, dropping flyers etc. You can  use your bonus codes to promote offline.

Which rooms can I get Bonus Codes for:At this point in time we can provide bonus codes for the following rooms

  • Party Poker
  • Chan Poker
  • Absolute Poker
  • Full Tilt
  • Titan Poker
  • CD Poker
  • Mansion Poker, and
  • Nuts Poker

How can I get bonus codes for all the rooms that PAW is promoting?

Bonus codes can be obtained by emailing the PAW helpdesk at affiliates@pokeraffiliateworld.com .  When requesting Bonus Codes, you will need to include which trackers you want the codes for, the desired bonus code AND an alternative bonus code (your first preference may not be available), and ensure that it is not more than 10 characters long.

Which rooms on the PAW Network accept US players?
Sportsbook, Cake Poker, Rummy Royal, PokerStars, Full Tilt, Duplicate, Real Poker Training and Absolute Poker accept US players.

The rest of the rooms on the PAW Network do not accept US Players.

How long does my player have to become a real money player?

Some poker rooms require players brought in by affiliates to become real money players within a certain time frame to ensure the affiliate is eligible for the CPA.
