Poker Affiliate Advertising - Think BIG! Are you thinking BIG enough when it comes to your potentiol as a poker affiliate? When it comes to advertising, are you thinking ahead and utilizing all the possible resources? I wrote this article in response to an earlier post about advertising and poker sites not covering the costs. Actually they will, but like any sales job you have to ask for the business! A perfect example of this is the media buying teams at all the major poker rooms.
I would guess that 99% of poker affiliates have not even given this a try though. These guys spend $10 Million Dollars USD per month on advertising and marketing. You bring them a good advertising opportunity and make a case why it will make them money and you may surprise yourself. Treat it like a business proposal and you may have a chance at getting them to advertise on a site that there is no way you would be able to advertise on.
In fact every poker room is looking to grow and expand. You just have to get out of the box and out of our small poker affiliate world (no pun intended). If you went to one of you AM's with a phenominal idea, they would probably hear you out and refer you on to a marketing V.P.
It can never hurt to try things like this. Now let's talk about thinking BIG and always looking at your next move. Back when I was promoting the penny stock community for PrizeWise.com, I went to these guys with my idea for a community shortly before they launched the website. They gave me their blessing to promote the community at the .net url and in turn I made a fair amount of money off that community promoting online poker to daytraders and penny stock players who are naturally gamblers by nature. My intention at that time was to develop a daytrading community after the niche site............. but unfortunately TFCT.OB went downhill so fast that it kind of fell apart. And quite honestly I was starting to realize that I was a very successful poker affiliate and fuck*** awful trader, especially in the penny markets.
When thinking of advertising, it's like chess. You have to ask yourself why are you doing what your doing and what is your next move. Now let's talk about the former PartyRiches.com, when it all started I figured I would write this ebook and attempt to help others just getting into the business. But thinking BIG, the real intention was to gather a group of poker affiliates and develop an authority site and the largest community of poker affiliates in the world. There is no doubt that this is exactly what P.A.W. has become.
I guess there really is no moral to this story, but everything you do in the business world is really just one stepping stone to something bigger. I challenge everyone to think BIG long term and write your goals down! This is very important, hence our 100 day challenge. If your goal is to make $1000 a month as a poker affiliate, do you honestly think you will ever get to $10K?
In closing when you go to sleep tonight, think about what your goals are and analyze what your doing to achieve those goals. However in my case I have only one goal this evening, and that is meeting my buddy Karl out for a beer or 5. Then coming home half drunk and seeing my wife at 1:00 A.M. in a french maid outfit (house spotless of course) holding a plate of fresh baked cookies exclaiming "Did you have fun with the boys honey? Let me put your feet up, rub your shoulders, and make you a snack. ............LOL, I'd have a heart attack if this happened.
