Many U.S. poker players and affiliates woke up this morning to a pleasant surprise.

PAW affiliates in the U.S. are reporting that they are now able to request withdrawals from Neteller. No word yet on the money actually hitting accounts though.

There is a sigh of relief today amongst thousands of online poker players and gaming affiliates.  Reports from both players and affiliates in the U.S. today is that Neteller is now allowing withdrawal requests.

It remains to be seen how long the actual cash-out process will take.  However this is great news for those players and affiliates who have hundreds and even worse, thousands of dollars frozen in U.S. Neteller accounts.

Although there is no downside to receiving money owed, there have been a few rumors that the U.S. Department of Justice will be able to monitor all of these transactions.  For most affiliates, this is fine however, as there is NO law in the books that states being a poker affiliate illegal.  My advice to any U.S. affiliate moving money from Neteller to their U.S. bank account is to keep a good record of it, and by all means PAY YOUR TAXES ON IT IN 2007.
