Is Partygaming Plc. (PRTY.L) on the market Is Partygaming Plc. (PRTY.L) on the market

Online Poker Giant PartyGaming Plc. (PRTY.L) has been all over the news lately, and many signs are pointing to them being a possible acquisition target.

Players playing on the PartyPoker.Net site will also now be seeing advertising spots and sponsorship banners at the tables. The bottom line is getting fatter by the day!

Recently PartyGaming Plc. (PRTY.L) has been in the news for a few things.  They initially made headlines earlier in the month when they announced their cooperation with the U.S. Department of Justice.

Now they have announced that their play money brand, PartyPoker.net has formed a partnership with Traffic Marketplace which will allow them to monetize the site by selling advertising space on the U.S. facing play money tables..

It sounds as if the advertising will be geo-targeted and only seen by the U.S. players however.  Obviously this will generate additional revenue for PartyGaming Plc. from the U.S. market (which they are receiving nothing for right now).....

So why all the sudden moves at PartyGaming?  There is much speculation that Party began negotiating with the DOJ to get them on the straight and narrow, in order to make them an attractive acquisition target for a U.S. gaming company (such as Harrahs's Entertainment).

Likewise selling the advertising on the .net site will provide additional revenue and increase shareholder value.

Now, to add more fuel to the fire, Last week PartyPartners, who runs the PartyPoker Affiliate Program announced that they were going to be removing thousands of players from affiliates accounts.  Granted it is a good thing as they are enforcing th epolicies against poaching, it still leads one to believe that this move is going to fatten up the bottom line.

This week Deutsche Bank also upgraded PartyGaming (LSE: PRTY) from 'neutral' to 'buy'

Who knows what's on the horizon for PartyGaming.  But one thing is sure, the people running the organization are very savvy and smart.  Something is no doubt brewing and my guess is that we will see some sort of major announcement in the next 12 months.
